Dazhong Mining Subsidiary Chongxinji Iron Mine Ordered to Temporarily Suspend Operations After Accident Kills Two

Dazhong Mining announced on September 28 that a roof fall accident occurred on September 25 at the Chongxinji Iron Mine under its subsidiary Anhui Jinrisheng Mining Co., Ltd., resulting in two deaths. The Huoqiu County Emergency Management Bureau has issued an On-Site Handling Decision to Jinrisheng Mining's Chongxinji Iron Mine, ordering the mine to temporarily suspend production and operations and to investigate and rectify accident hazards. The main product of the Chongxinji Iron Mine is iron concentrate powder. In 2025, this single mine achieved revenue of 802 million yuan, accounting for 19.62 percent of the company's annual operating revenue, and achieved net profit of 180 million yuan, accounting for 24.45 percent of the company's annual net profit. The company stated that this accident has caused the Chongxinji Iron Mine to suspend production, while production and operations at other mines continue normally. Given that the accident investigation and aftermath work are still ongoing, the duration of the suspension and the extent of its impact on full-year performance cannot yet be accurately estimated.
