North China Pharmaceutical announced that its wholly-owned subsidiary Southern Company has received the supplementary application approval notice for injectable lysine acetylsalicylate issued by the National Medical Products Administration. The 0.9g strength passed the generic drug quality and efficacy consistency evaluation, while the 1.8g strength is a newly added specification, for which a drug approval number was issued and it is deemed to have passed the consistency evaluation. Lysine acetylsalicylate is a non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drug that breaks down into lysine and aspirin in the body, providing antipyretic, analgesic, anti-inflammatory, and antiplatelet aggregation effects. It is suitable for the treatment of fever and mild to moderate pain in patients for whom oral administration is not appropriate.
