Atea sees over $700M peak US revenue from HCV launch

Atea Pharmaceuticals outlined peak annual U.S. net revenue potential in excess of $700 million for its hepatitis C program, with a focus on a mid-2028 launch. The company reported positive top-line results from its Phase III C-BEYOND trial, where bemnifosbuvir met both primary and secondary endpoints and demonstrated statistical non-inferiority to Epclusa, achieving a 93.9% SVR rate in the mITT population compared with 94.8% for SOF/VEL. Atea's second Phase III trial, C-FORWARD, is fully enrolled with more than 880 patients, and top-line results are expected in early Q1 2027, with an NDA submission anticipated in the second quarter of 2027.
