Avient Corporation is a formulator of material solutions operating in the United States, Canada, Mexico, Europe, South America, and Asia. It operates in two segments: Color, Additives and Inks, and Specialty Engineered Materials. The Color, Additives and Inks segment offers custom color and additive concentrates, dispersions for thermosets, specialty inks, and custom-formulated liquid systems. The Specialty Engineered Materials segment provides specialty polymer formulations, services, and solutions for thermoplastic materials. Products are used in medical and pharmaceutical devices, food packaging, personal care and cosmetics, transportation, building products, wire and cable, recreational and athletic apparel, construction and filtration, outdoor furniture, healthcare, textiles and appliances, and industrial markets. The company sells through direct sales personnel, distributors, and commissioned sales agents. Formerly known as PolyOne Corporation, it changed its name to Avient Corporation in June 2020. Founded in 1885, it is headquartered in Avon Lake, Ohio.

Avient raises 2026 guidance after strong Q2

Avient Corporation raised its full-year 2026 guidance after reporting second-quarter adjusted earnings per share of $0.96, which beat expectations by $0.09. Organic sales grew 4.3% with double-digit adjusted EBITDA growth, and adjusted EBITDA margin expanded 110 basis points to a record 18.3%. Avient Corporation has launched Cesa Solvent Barrier Technology, a drop-in non-PFAS additive for high-density polyethylene bottles that helps manufacturers meet fluorochemical regulations without modifying existing extrusion blow molding lines. The monolayer HDPE packaging provides enhanced resistance to aggressive solvents, eliminating the need for fluorinated barrier treatments. Internal lab testing showed a 2- to 10-times reduction in weight loss compared with unmodified monolayer HDPE when exposed to mineral spirits and toluene.
