It operates through three segments: Home and Personal Care (HPC), Global Pet Care (GPC), and Home and Garden (H&G). The HPC segment offers home appliances under brands such as Black & Decker, Russell Hobbs, George Foreman, PowerXL, Emeril Legasse, Copper Chef, Juiceman, and Breadman, and personal care products under the Remington brand. The GPC segment provides pet care products, including rawhide chews, clean-up, training, health and grooming items, small animal food, and wet and dry pet food under brands like Good'n'Fun, DreamBone, Good Boy, SmartBones, IAMS, EUKANUBA, Nature's Miracle, FURminator, Dingo, 8IN1, Better Belly, Meowee!, and Wild Harvest, as well as aquarium kits and aquatics equipment under Tetra, Marineland, Instant Ocean, GloFish, and OmegaSea. The H&G segment offers outdoor insect and weed control, animal repellents, household pest control, surface cleaning and restoration products, and personal-use pesticides under brands including Spectracide, Garden Safe, Liquid Fence, EcoLogic, Hot Shot, Black Flag, Rejuvenate, Cutter, and Repel. Products are sold through retailers, e-commerce and online retailers, wholesalers, and distributors. Founded in 1906, the company is based in Middleton, Wisconsin.
