Summary · why it matters

Accenture and osapiens have completed a supply chain transparency program with sustainable packaging company DS Smith, spanning more than 250 plants and facilities in over 30 countries. The program gives DS Smith full visibility into the origin and movement of European Union Deforestation Regulation-relevant materials across its Europe, Middle East, and Africa supply chain, preparing the company for EUDR compliance requirements that come into force at the end of 2026. Accenture led process transformation, supplier enablement, systems integration and program scaling, while osapiens supplied the technology platform, the osapiens HUB, into which previously separate supply chain systems, onboarding and reporting processes were integrated. Since implementation, more than 25,000 supply chain workflows have been executed, nearly 25,000 land plots have been monitored automatically, and almost 10,000 compliance-related cases have been managed through automated case management on the osapiens HUB, with more than 1,000 suppliers engaged through a single process. Building on the DS Smith work, Accenture and osapiens have expanded their partnership to offer clients globally capabilities including multi-tier supplier mapping, supplier intelligence, continuous risk monitoring and automated compliance.
