Zhangyuan Tungsten's first-half net profit surges nearly fivefold

Zhangyuan Tungsten disclosed its 2026 semi-annual report, with net profit attributable to shareholders reaching 688 million yuan in the first half, up 497.38 percent year on year. Revenue came to 5.847 billion yuan, up 143.71 percent, and basic earnings per share were 0.57 yuan, up 470 percent. Overall gross margin rose 11.03 percentage points year on year to 25.17 percent. The earnings surge was driven mainly by sharply higher tungsten raw material prices, with average prices of tungsten concentrate, ammonium paratungstate and tungsten powder all rising more than 200 percent in the first half. By segment, tungsten powder products generated revenue of 4.437 billion yuan, up 179.22 percent and accounting for 75.88 percent of total revenue, while cemented carbide products brought in 1.018 billion yuan, up 99.46 percent. Subsidiary Ganzhou Aoketai posted net profit of 156 million yuan, a year-on-year jump of 11,164.17 percent. The China Tungsten Industry Association expects the tungsten market to remain in a tight supply-demand balance.
