The company distributes through e-commerce platforms like Tmall, Taobao, Douyin, JD.com, Vipshop, Pinduoduo, and Kuaishou; offline brand-owned stores; department stores such as SKP, Sephora, and Intime; supermarkets including Walmart and Yonghui; and beauty stores like Watsons, KKV, and Colorist. Syoung Group's first-half net profit attributable to parent falls 29.4% year-on-year to 87.1 million yuan

Syoung Group released its 2026 half-year report, showing first-half net profit attributable to the parent fell 29.4% year-on-year to 87.1 million yuan. Operating revenue was 2.51 billion yuan, up 0.4% year-on-year; net profit attributable to the parent after deducting non-recurring items was 83.27 million yuan, down 30.9% year-on-year; net operating cash flow was 206 million yuan, up 24.0% year-on-year; earnings per share were 0.198 yuan. In the second quarter, operating revenue was 1.31 billion yuan, down 7.2% year-on-year; net profit attributable to the parent was 52.39 million yuan, down 35.6% year-on-year. As of the end of the second quarter, total assets were 4.498 billion yuan, up 1.1% from the end of the previous year; net assets attributable to the parent were 2.332 billion yuan, up 4.5% from the end of the previous year. The company said its main operating businesses did not undergo major changes during the reporting period, as it continued to focus on the research, production and sales of cosmetics, optimized its brand structure, scaled back its own mass-market brands, and adjusted its CP brand matrix to advance its premiumization and globalization strategy.

Beauty and personal care sector surges over 3.5% intraday, cosmetics retail sales hit a near-decade high for the same period

The beauty and personal care sector rose 3.58% intraday. Lafang China gained 9.98%, SYoung Group rose 6.35%, Marubi Biotechnology climbed 5.03%, Shanghai Jahwa advanced 4.31%, and Huaye Spice added 4.12%. According to the National Bureau of Statistics, cosmetics retail sales in June 2026 reached 45.6 billion yuan, the highest for the same month in nearly a decade, up 12.6% year-on-year. For the first six months, total cosmetics retail sales amounted to 244.5 billion yuan, a year-on-year increase of 6.3%. Haitong International noted that China's cosmetics industry entered a stock competition phase in 2026, with full-year retail sales growth expected to reach 11%, and the market share of domestic brands likely to rise to 51%. Shenwan Hongyuan believes the industry is entering a new development cycle driven by efficacy innovation, where research and development of functional ingredients and clinical validation capabilities will become core competitive barriers.
