Xiamen Airport plans to participate in specialized operations at Xiang'an Airport and dispose of Gaoqi Airport assets

Xiamen Airport announced that the company plans to participate in the operation of Xiang'an Airport through a combined model of specialized operations, asset purchases, and asset leasing, involving passenger ground services, duty-paid commercial management in the terminal, and route maintenance. At the same time, the company plans to hand over the terminal assets of Gaoqi Airport to the government for land reserve, with implementation scheduled to be completed by December 31, 2027. The terminal area and airfield supporting assets are planned to be transferred to its controlling shareholder, Xiangye Group, within 180 days after the new airport is put into use. The company expects to shift from an asset-heavy to an asset-light operating model after the relocation, and has committed to reducing the proportion of related-party transaction revenue to below 50 percent by fiscal year 2028.

Xiamen Airport's July cargo and mail throughput drops nearly 8% year-on-year, international routes plunge 13.21%

Xiamen Airport disclosed its transport production data for July 2026. Cargo and mail throughput was 29,900 tonnes, down 7.99% year-on-year. Among this, international route cargo and mail throughput was 14,100 tonnes, a year-on-year decline of 13.21%, dragging down overall performance.
