Ruilian New Materials secures OLED patent license from TCL CSOT affiliate, entering printed OLED terminal materials track

Ruilian New Materials announced it has signed a technology license agreement with Guangzhou CSOT Printed Display Technology Company Limited, officially entering the printed OLED terminal materials track. CSOT Printed Display is affiliated with TCL CSOT, a global leader in printed OLED technology with more than 1,200 related patents. Its 29.5 billion yuan investment in the world's first 8.6-generation printed OLED production line is expected to begin production in 2027. Under the agreement, CSOT Printed Display licenses its relevant patents and technical know-how in the printed OLED materials field to Ruilian New Materials. The company and its subsidiaries may carry out research and development, production, and sales of printed OLED materials within the licensed scope. New technological achievements and intellectual property generated through joint development by both parties will be shared by both parties. In the first quarter of 2026, Ruilian New Materials achieved revenue of 379 million yuan and net profit attributable to the parent company of 43.65 million yuan.

Ruilian New Materials sees strong OLED material demand; packaging materials and photoresist monomers already supplied in bulk to top-tier customers

Ruilian New Materials recently stated during an institutional survey that, benefiting from the expansion of large-size OLED panel production, upstream material demand is robust, and the company's existing OLED capacity is becoming tight. To address this, it is investing 80 million yuan to build a new dedicated line for OLED pre-sublimation material synthesis. In packaging materials, Xi'an Simowei New Materials, in which the company invested in 2023, has already achieved bulk supply to some leading domestic panel makers, and the company has also introduced some packaging material products. Several photoresist monomer products have entered mass production, with some being stably supplied in bulk, covering five core global mixed-crystal manufacturers. PSPI monomer materials have completed full-process verification and passed certification by a top-tier overseas customer. Current capacity is about 60 tonnes per year, with monthly shipments already at the tonne level. The company plans to add approximately 200 tonnes per year of PSPI capacity, expected to be completed and put into production in the second quarter of 2027.

Electronic Chemicals Sector Gains Momentum, Driven by Domestic Substitution and AI Computing Demand

On July 9, the electronic chemicals sector rose 2.03 percent intraday. Shanghai Xinyang gained 9.22 percent, Ruilian New Materials rose 5.80 percent, Xingfu Electronics added 5.76 percent, Lite-On Optoelectronics climbed 5.61 percent, and Dinglong Shares advanced 3.74 percent. A research note from Everbright Securities noted that domestic fluorochemical companies are accelerating their deployment of new fluorinated materials. Electronic-grade hydrofluoric acid has broken through bottlenecks in ultra-clean, high-purity processes and passed certification at leading wafer foundries, entering a phase of large-scale volume production. At the same time, AI and high-performance computing are driving demand for liquid cooling, with high-performance fluorinated coolants such as perfluoropolyether occupying an irreplaceable position in immersion cooling. A report from China Merchants Securities pointed out that the electronic chemicals industry is benefiting from downstream demand recovery and accelerated domestic substitution. Demand for AI chips and high-bandwidth memory is driving wafer fabrication capacity release, pushing up consumption of wet electronic chemicals, and the market size is expected to expand non-linearly. A research note from TF Securities noted that the electronic chemicals industry will embrace dual opportunities of demand recovery and domestic innovation in 2026. China's market share of wet chemicals for integrated circuits remains far below the global level, leaving significant room for improvement in domestic substitution rates. Leading enterprises with high-end capacity and core purification technologies will continue to benefit.
