CNA Financial Corporation is an insurance holding company that primarily offers commercial property and casualty insurance products in the United States, Canada, the United Kingdom, Continental Europe, and internationally. It operates through four segments: Specialty, Commercial, International, and Life & Group. The company provides professional liability coverage and risk management services to professional firms such as architects, real estate agents, and accounting and law firms; directors and officers, errors and omissions, employment practices, fiduciary, and fidelity and cyber coverage to small and mid-size firms, public and private companies, and not-for-profit organizations; professional and general liability and related casualty coverages for the healthcare industry; surety and fidelity bonds; and warranty and alternative risk products. It also offers property, marine, boiler, and machinery coverage; casualty insurance including workers' compensation, general and product liability, commercial auto, umbrella, and excess and surplus coverages; specialized loss-sensitive insurance programs and total risk management services; and a run-off long-term care business. Founded in 1853 and based in Chicago, Illinois, CNA Financial Corporation is a subsidiary of Loews Corporation.
