Zacks Highlights Three Top-Ranked Dividend Stocks for Retirement Income

Zacks Investment Research identifies BP, Community Financial System, and Community Trust Bancorp as top-ranked dividend stocks offering retirees higher yields than traditional bonds. BP pays $0.49 per share with a 5.06% yield and 10.16% annualized dividend growth, while Community Financial System offers $0.47 per share at a 3.02% yield and Community Trust Bancorp pays $0.53 per share at a 3.10% yield. The report notes that 10-year Treasury yields have fallen from around 6.50% in the late 1990s to much lower levels today, reducing income for retirees. It also warns that Social Security funds are projected to run out of money by 2035, making higher-yielding dividend stocks a potential alternative for steady retirement income.
