Logitech G Named Official Steering Wheel Partner for SEGA's Crazy Taxi: World Tour

Logitech G has become the official steering wheel partner for SEGA's upcoming Crazy Taxi: World Tour, scheduled to launch in 2027, supporting the G29, G920, G923, RS50, and PRO Racing Wheel, with TRUEFORCE haptic feedback on select models, and SEGA has joined Logitech G's Developer Alliance. The deal builds on a Gaming segment that grew 12% year over year to $354.2 million in the first quarter of fiscal 2027, but Logitech warned in July that an incident at a semiconductor supplier's manufacturing facility could cut sales by approximately $20 million in Q2 and up to $200 million in Q3, a disruption heading into the holiday shopping period. CEO Hanneke Faber said the general supply situation for semiconductors is unusually tight across the industry and getting significantly more supply ahead of the holidays is particularly challenging. A Morgan Stanley analyst assigned a Sell rating to the stock on September 18, and analysts expect earnings to stay nearly flat this fiscal year before growth of 6% to 9% over the next three years. Logitech holds $1.75 billion in cash against $84.39 million in debt, while hedge fund holders fell from 26 at the end of the first quarter of 2026 to 22 at the start of Q2 2026 and short interest stood at 9.26% as of August 31, 2026.

Sega Sammy Shares Surge Over 6%, Recovering 3,000 Yen Level

Sega Sammy Holdings' stock price closed at 3,022 yen on August 25, 2026, up 175 yen from the previous trading day, with a gain of over 6%. Over the past month, it has risen 13.4% from 2,664 yen, recovering the 3,000 yen level from the month's low of 2,648 yen. The stock price increase reflects expectations of a return to profitability, with a PER of 18.85 times based on the company's forecast EPS of 160.36 yen for the fiscal year ending March 2027. Meanwhile, first-quarter sales for the fiscal year ending March 2027 were 95 billion yen (up 17.3% year-on-year), but operating profit was 2.3 billion yen, only 5% of the full-year forecast of 44.5 billion yen. The company explains that the slow progress is within expectations, as the launch of major new titles is concentrated in the second half. However, attention is needed as this second-half concentration continues for a second consecutive period, making the start of the third quarter a key focus.

Nvidia and Sega mark 30 years since Sega's rescue saved Nvidia from bankruptcy

Nvidia and Sega are celebrating the 30-year anniversary of a pivotal moment in 1995 when Sega's decision to pay Nvidia for a contract it could not fulfill saved the company from bankruptcy. Nvidia CEO Jensen Huang recalled that the company had chosen the wrong technology and was nearly out of business, forcing him to fly to Japan to ask Sega's CEO, Irimajiri-san, to release Nvidia from the contract while still providing the payment. Irimajiri-san agreed, and the funds allowed Nvidia to reset and invent new chip-design methods that remain in use today. Huang emphasized that without Sega's support, Nvidia would not exist, and the two companies continue to work together.

Jensen Huang bet Nvidia's last dollars on a chip tested only in simulation — and it saved the company

In 1997, with Nvidia weeks from insolvency, Jensen Huang ordered mass production of the RIVA 128 graphics chip — a design that had never physically existed, tested entirely inside a simulator. Huang recalled on the Acquired podcast that the company had about six months of cash left and could afford only one tape-out, so it bought an emulation tool with roughly half its remaining funds to virtually prototype the chip. Nvidia laid off more than half its staff, cutting headcount from about 100 to 40, and was kept alive by a $5 million investment from Sega. The RIVA 128 shipped in August 1997 with just one month of payroll remaining, and it sold roughly a million units in its first four months, propelling Nvidia toward its 1999 IPO and eventually to a valuation of around $4.7 trillion.
NVDA · Technology · Positive Nvidia's risky bet on the RIVA 128 chip, tested only in simulation, succeeded and saved the company, leading to its eventual dominance.
