BCB Bancorp, Inc. is the bank holding company for BCB Community Bank, providing banking products and services to businesses and individuals in the United States. It offers insured deposit products such as savings and club accounts, interest and non-interest-bearing demand accounts, money market accounts, certificates of deposit, and individual retirement accounts. Its loan products include commercial and multifamily real estate, one-to-four family mortgage, commercial business, construction, home equity, and consumer loans. The company also provides retail and commercial banking services including wire transfers, money orders, safe deposit boxes, night depository, debit cards, online and mobile banking, fraud detection, and automated teller services. BCB Bancorp, Inc. was founded in 2000 and is based in Bayonne, New Jersey.

BCB Bancorp prices $85.25M common stock offering at $7.75 per share

BCB Bancorp priced an underwritten public offering of 11 million shares of common stock at $7.75 per share, for expected gross proceeds of $85.25 million. The offering is expected to close September 18, and the company granted the underwriter a 30-day option to purchase up to 1.65 million additional shares at the public offering price, less underwriting discounts and commissions. BCB Bancorp said the net proceeds will be used for general corporate purposes, including maintaining liquidity, funding working capital, supporting bank capital in connection with the expected disposition of identified potential problem loans, reducing debt and maintaining capital and liquidity ratios. The stock price slipped about 4.4% on Wednesday after market hours of trading.

BCB Bancorp suspends quarterly dividend to preserve capital

BCB Bancorp has suspended its quarterly cash dividend on both common and preferred stock as part of a capital preservation effort. The board also voted to suspend its 2026 amended and restated dividend reinvestment and stock purchase plan. CEO Thomas O'Brien said the bank will undergo a fulsome evaluation of its credit portfolios, and eliminating the quarterly dividend will conserve approximately $1.86 million of capital per quarter. Shares were trading 1.90% lower at $10.85 after market hours on Thursday.
