Candel Therapeutics, Inc. is a clinical-stage biopharmaceutical company that develops immunotherapies for cancer patients. Its pipeline includes CAN-2409, in Phase 2a trials for prostate cancer and non-small cell lung cancer (NSCLC), and CAN-3110, in Phase Ib trials for recurrent high-grade glioma. The company also develops the enLIGHTEN Discovery Platform, a systematic, iterative herpes simplex virus-based platform that leverages human biology and advanced analytics to create new viral immunotherapy candidates for solid tumors. Formerly known as Advantagene, Inc., it changed its name to Candel Therapeutics, Inc. in November 2020, was incorporated in 2003, and is headquartered in Needham, Massachusetts.
