TK expects Q4 high season to support 2026 loan portfolio growth target of at least 50%

Thitikorn Public Company Limited, or TK, expects its operating results in the fourth quarter of 2026 to improve from the third quarter of 2026 as the motorcycle market enters its sales season, or high season, which is the core customer base of its hire-purchase lending business. Mr. Praphol Pornprapha, a director and deputy managing director, disclosed that the company is maintaining its target for its total loan portfolio in 2026 to grow at least 50%, under a strategy of quality growth, supported by liquidity from cash, deposits and investments totaling more than 3 billion baht and a low debt-to-equity ratio of only 0.07 times, sufficient to support portfolio expansion without relying mainly on borrowings. Ms. Patama Pornprapha, managing director, stated that the motorcycle loan portfolio in the first half of 2026 had already expanded by more than 39% from the end of 2025, with motorcycle loans in the second quarter of 2026 rising 39% overall, comprising growth of 77% in Thailand, 22% in Cambodia and 25% in Laos compared with the end of 2025, marking simultaneous growth in all three markets for three consecutive quarters, from the fourth quarter of 2025 through the second quarter of 2026. The company views the oversight by the Bank of Thailand as a positive development, helping to bring order to the lending market and reduce the intensity of competition, especially in the retail borrower segment and Buy Now Pay Later loans.
