Nebius Reportedly Raises GPU Prices, Lifting AI Cloud Peers

Nebius Group shares jumped nearly 9% in Thursday premarket trading after the AI cloud provider reportedly raised prices across several compute services, a signal that demand for scarce GPU capacity remains strong. According to a customer communication circulated online, Nebius plans to increase prices for several on-demand GPU offerings beginning October 1, covering Nvidia's H100, H200, B200 and B300 accelerators. The reported increases extend beyond GPUs: prices for AMD EPYC Genoa CPU compute are expected to rise 25% to $0.015 per vCPU-hour from $0.012, while memory pricing tied to Genoa systems is reportedly increasing about 41% to $0.0045 per GiB-hour from $0.0032. Nebius has not publicly confirmed the pricing changes and did not immediately respond to a request for comment. The market reaction spread beyond Nebius, with IREN shares rising about 5.1% in premarket trading and CoreWeave gaining roughly 6.1%, suggesting investors read the reported increases as a positive signal for the wider neocloud industry.

Mark Cuban Warns Nvidia's AI Financing Could Crumble the Market

Billionaire Mark Cuban warned that Nvidia's aggressive AI financing could destabilize the broader market. Cuban compared Nvidia's role to the IPO machine of the dot-com era, noting that the company is funding customers through financing, revenue-sharing, and minimum-revenue guarantees. Nvidia has already committed more than $40 billion to AI investments in early 2026, including stakes and financing packages tied to OpenAI, Corning, and Iren. Legal analysts caution that AI data center funding involves layered private credit, securitizations, and off-balance-sheet vehicles, where distress in one node could propagate across banks, insurers, and pension funds. If AI demand slows or customers struggle to repay debts, the interconnected leverage could spread credit stress beyond tech stocks.

AeroVironment widens revenue lead over Iren as Iren's sales decline for two straight quarters

AeroVironment has widened its revenue advantage over Iren, with AeroVironment posting $641.6 million in its most recent quarter while Iren's sales have fallen for two consecutive quarters after peaking at $240.3 million. Iren, which pivoted from Bitcoin mining to AI infrastructure and signed a five-year, $3.4 billion cloud services contract with Nvidia, saw revenue drop to $184.7 million and then $144.8 million in its latest two reported periods. AeroVironment, a leader in unmanned aerial vehicles, boosted its top line through the acquisition of BlueHalo and a five-year $1 billion U.S. Army contract for Switchblade loitering munitions, though its quarterly revenue can be lumpy due to bulk contract payments. Iren management has targeted an annual recurring revenue run rate of more than $3 billion by the end of the current fiscal year, which would require a reversal of the recent downtrend.

Microsoft Expects Positive Free Cash Flow in Fiscal 2027

Microsoft announced it expects to achieve positive free cash flow in fiscal 2027, signaling that its heavy AI investments are sustainable without excessive debt. The company reported an 18% year-over-year revenue increase for its fiscal 2026 fourth quarter, driven largely by cloud computing, and shares surged 16%. Microsoft also revealed it is investing heavily in compute capacity, with Azure surpassing $100 billion in annual revenue for the first time, and noted that CPUs are becoming as important as GPUs for agentic AI workloads. The company has signed multi-year compute deals with neocloud providers Iren and Nebius, while competitors like Alphabet and Amazon have inked similar agreements with other firms.

Meta Platforms and Anthropic Discuss Potential $10 Billion Compute Deal

Meta Platforms and Anthropic are in early-stage talks over a potential $10 billion compute deal spanning two years, according to an unnamed source. Neither company has confirmed the discussions, but the report has intensified concerns among neocloud investors that Meta’s planned entry into cloud infrastructure could disrupt the market. Meta is already building a 5-gigawatt data center in Louisiana and recently signed a five-year, $27 billion compute contract with Nebius, while CEO Mark Zuckerberg has said the company expects to build tens of gigawatts of AI infrastructure this decade. Analysts note that even if hyperscalers eventually reduce reliance on neoclouds, providers like Iren have shown they can diversify, with Iren securing $2.8 billion in new contracts from leading AI developers and raising its 2026 annual recurring revenue target to over $4 billion.

Nvidia Can Still Make You a Millionaire, But Only If You Start Rich

Nvidia can still generate strong long-term returns, but its $4.7 trillion market cap makes another 100-fold gain effectively impossible. To turn a $10,000 stake into $1 million, Nvidia would need to rise around 100-fold, implying a market cap north of $470 trillion—larger than every public company on Earth combined. A patient investor who puts $200,000 into Nvidia and watches it quintuple over a decade could arrive at a seven-figure holding. The company is evolving from a chipmaker into a financial backbone of the AI ecosystem, committing up to $100 billion to OpenAI’s infrastructure, investing $2 billion in optics maker Coherent, another $2 billion in cloud provider Nebius, and striking long-term U.S. manufacturing deals with Corning and data center operator Iren. Nvidia remains a good foundational portfolio holding, but investors seeking explosive, high-risk upside should look to smaller suppliers in optics, power, and cooling.
