RUM Group's $13.7B AI Deal Comes with Penny Warrants
RUM Group Inc. has signed a $13.7 billion AI infrastructure contract with an unnamed US cloud customer, a deal roughly 339 times its latest quarterly revenue. The agreement, announced on August 23, covers six years of AI computing capacity in three equal tranches, each worth about $4.57 billion, with the third tranche contingent on customer approval of a delivery date. To secure the order, RUM agreed to issue warrants for up to 50.8 million shares at one cent each, though the definitive warrant agreement is still to be negotiated. The company faces significant execution risks: the facility is under development, requires substantial capital spending, and RUM had only $203.3 million in cash as of June 30 with no committed financing for the buildout. Bulls highlight RUM's second-quarter revenue growth of 61% to $40.4 million and 85% utilization of its Nvidia GPUs, while bears point to the concentration risk, potential dilution, and contractual remedies if RUM fails to deliver. Hedge funds held steady at 16 in the second quarter, and short interest stood at 26.37 million shares as of August 14.
RUM Group Stock Jumps 12.8% on $13.7 Billion GPU Deal
Shares of RUM Group jumped 12.8% in afternoon trading as investors continued to digest the company's newly unveiled six-year, $13.7 billion GPU services agreement with a major U.S. cloud customer. The contract covers GPU services at RUM's under-development Maysville, Georgia site and includes warrants for up to 50.8 million Class A shares at $0.01 each that vest as the customer buys capacity. The deal follows RUM's recent acquisition of German AI cloud firm Northern Data, which added roughly 22,000 Nvidia H100 and H200 GPUs to the newly launched Quake AI platform. CEO Chris Pavlovski has stated that Quake AI will fiercely compete with specialized cloud providers, and this order serves as a major recurring-revenue catalyst to validate that pivot. RUM Group is up 62% since the beginning of the year, and at $10.33 per share, it has set a new 52-week high.
RUM Group Surges 11% as CEO Vows to Take On CoreWeave and Nebius
RUM Group stock jumped 11% to $10.44 Tuesday after CEO Chris Pavlovski publicly named CoreWeave and Nebius Group as targets for the company's AI infrastructure push. The company's Quake AI division, seeded by the recently closed Northern Data acquisition, holds a $13.7 billion GPU services contract with an unidentified U.S. cloud provider. SEC filings show RUM Group lacks financing to fulfill the contract and plans to raise capital through debt or equity, while a customer warrant for up to 50.81 million Class A shares adds dilution risk. Trump Media & Technology Group stock slipped 0.7% to $9.23, down 30% year to date.

RUM Group signs six-year $13.7bn GPU services contract
RUM Group, which hosts the Truth Social platform associated with US President Donald Trump, has entered into a six-year agreement worth approximately $13.7bn with an unidentified US-based cloud provider. The contract will see RUM Group supply access to graphics processing unit services and related AI chip infrastructure from its Maysville, Georgia data centre, a facility that remains under development. The deal will require the customer to pay the amount for GPU services in three phases over the lifetime of the agreement, with the third tranche conditional on the customer's approval of the proposed delivery schedule. The contract also grants the customer a warrant to purchase up to 50.81 million shares of RUM Group's Class A common stock at $0.01 per share, with half of the share warrants vesting in tandem with the purchase of the three GPU service tranches and the remaining warrants potentially vesting in five 10% increments as additional GPU service purchase agreements are signed before the end of the six-year term. Rumble, which began operating under its new name RUM Group after acquiring German AI cloud specialist Northern Data in June, said in regulatory filings that it currently lacks the financing required to fulfil the contract and plans to raise capital through debt or equity, warning that its obligations to the customer are not dependent on securing such financing and creating a significant execution risk if additional funds are not acquired on acceptable terms.
RUM Group Jumps 7% on Northern Data AI Pivot, Trump Media Climbs 6%
RUM Group stock is up 7% to $9.04 in Friday midday trading, extending an AI-fueled rally, while Trump Media & Technology Group stock is climbing 6% to $9.03, a rare green day for a name that has bled through most of 2026. RUM Group closed its $767 million acquisition of Northern Data AG in June and rebranded from Rumble Inc., unveiling a cloud and AI compute unit called Quake AI, which brought roughly 22,000 NVIDIA H100 and H200 GPUs and more than 200 megawatts of unmonetized energy capacity onto the platform. RUM Group's second-quarter revenue grew 61% to $40.366 million from $25.08 million a year earlier, and management guided Q3 2026 revenue to a range of $87 million to $93 million, pointing to a 3 billion plus annual run rate opportunity if the full 250 megawatts of capacity is monetized on AI compute as a service. Trump Media took the opposite route with its balance sheet, abandoning its Bitcoin treasury strategy in August after roughly $190 million in paper losses, redirecting capital toward Truth Social, Truth+, and its new Truth API data feed under interim CEO Kevin McGurn, and reporting a second-quarter net loss of $238 million driven almost entirely by paper losses on crypto holdings against trailing 12-month revenue of $4.5 million. The Global X Data Center and Digital Infrastructure ETF is down 0.5% to $28.35, isolating this as a single-name repricing on RUM Group's pivot alone, with RUM Group stock up 33% year to date through Thursday's close after buying GPUs and power, while Trump Media stock was down 36% year to date through Thursday's close after buying Bitcoin, taking the loss, and shifting into fusion energy.
Trump Media Slides 4% as It Abandons Its Bitcoin Treasury Bet
Trump Media & Technology Group shares fell 4% to $7.96 after the company abandoned its bitcoin treasury strategy following a reported $190 million paper loss. Interim CEO Kevin McGurn said the company has refined its capital allocation, redirecting resources toward Truth Social, Truth+, and the Truth API data feed, and it has agreed to acquire private nuclear fusion firm TAE Technologies in a deal it aims to close by year-end. Trump Media posted a second-quarter net loss of $238 million, driven almost entirely by paper losses on its crypto holdings, with trailing 12-month revenue of $4.5 million against a trailing net loss of $1.3 billion. Rumble gained 4% to $7.77 as investors rotated into the crypto-free alt-media peer, while Strategy, which holds 840,447 bitcoin at an average price of $75,482, reported a paper loss of nearly $10 billion in the past quarter and faces forced-selling risk.
RUM Group Issues Q3 Revenue Guidance of $87M to $93M Including Quake AI
RUM Group has issued third quarter 2026 revenue guidance of US$87 million to US$93 million, marking the first full quarter to include its new Quake AI business. The guidance follows second quarter 2026 results reported on August 10 and comes amid a 21.59% share price decline over the past 90 days and a 23.52% drop in total shareholder return over one year. A popular narrative on the platform Simply Wall St suggests the stock could be 72% undervalued, with a fair value estimate of $22 per share compared to a last close of $6.21, based on expectations of rapid revenue growth and a swing to profitability. However, the stock currently trades at a price-to-sales ratio of 24.2 times, well above the US Interactive Media and Services industry average near 1 times and a fair ratio of 6 times, pointing to valuation risk if expectations reset.
Rumble reported first-quarter revenues of $25.46 million, up 7.4% year on year but falling 2% short of analysts' expectations, in what the company described as a disappointing quarter that also saw a significant miss on earnings per share estimates. The video-sharing platform, which positions itself as a free-speech alternative to mainstream services, achieved the fastest revenue growth among the six digital media and content platforms stocks tracked, yet its share price has fallen 28% since the report to $5.88. The broader group posted a soft quarter overall, with aggregate revenues missing consensus estimates by 5.3% and next-quarter revenue guidance coming in 6% below expectations, contributing to an average share-price decline of 18.2% across the cohort. Among peers, Stride reported revenues of $629.9 million, up 2.7% year on year and in line with estimates, while Ziff Davis saw revenues of $267.6 million, down 1.9% and missing estimates by 6.9%. Getty Images posted revenues of $226.6 million, up 1.1% but lagging estimates by 5.9%, and WEBTOON reported revenues of $320.9 million, down 1.5% and meeting estimates.
RUM Group reported that GPU utilization improved to approximately 85% in the first quarter, up from 5% in mid-2025 and a 23-percentage-point gain from the fourth quarter of 2025. Its cloud and AI-infrastructure business, Quake AI, has secured $270 million of multi-year contracted revenue for next-generation NVIDIA HGX B300 systems at its Amsterdam European infrastructure hub. Quake AI’s current deployment, supported by up to roughly 250 megawatts of energized data center capacity targeted for availability in 2027, represents an annual run rate revenue opportunity of more than $3 billion. Tether, RUM Group’s largest investor with over $1 billion invested, provides a unique access point to capital and has enabled a 50% reduction in RUM’s existing Northern Data loan facility, materially improving the company’s balance sheet. The company expects to issue financial guidance for the first time since its September 2022 IPO during its second-quarter earnings report on August 13.

This transaction represents 3.4% of the fund's indirect Rumble holdings at the time of purchase. Tether retains 154.4 million outstanding pre-funded warrants, allowing for further equity exposure. The company previously invested $775 million into Rumble at the end of 2024.
Rumble Stock Looks Very Risky and Extremely Expensive Amid AI Infrastructure Pivot
Rumble, whose primary business is streaming video, has closed its acquisition of Northern Data, a company that rents GPUs for AI and expects to have approximately 250MW of power deployed or coming online across ten global data centers by 2027, with projected revenue of 130 million euros to 150 million euros in 2026. The move into the competitive data center and GPU rental space pits Rumble against well-heeled rivals like Amazon, Google, and Microsoft, as well as established startups Coreweave and Nebius, which generated $5.13 billion and nearly $530 million in 2025 revenue respectively, while Northern Data's GPU utilization was about 85% in March, suggesting tough competition is already having an impact. Rumble also faces headwinds from its crypto ties, as Bitcoin has fallen 26.3% and Ethereum 42% so far this year, potentially undermining Tether, which invested $775 million in Rumble and pledged $100 million in ad spending over two years. With Rumble's stock trading at an extremely elevated price-sales ratio of 31.8 times, the outlook appears uncertain at best, and investors should consider selling the shares.
RUM · Capital · Negative Stock is extremely expensive at 31.8x price-sales ratio, and the article recommends selling.
RUM · Competition · Negative Rumble's pivot into AI infrastructure pits it against well-capitalized rivals like Amazon, Google, Microsoft, Coreweave, and Nebius, with Northern Data's GPU utilization already at 85%.
