MINT profit rises, expands hotels and food, buys Bonchon
▲
First-half profit up 13% MINT reported first-half net profit of 3.957 billion baht, up 13% from last year, with hotel profit up 32% and food profit up 3%. This confirms the company is growing steadily, which supports the stock price.
It shows actual profit growth, the core reason investors value the stock.
▲
Second-half bookings and sales strong MINT expects second-half growth as hotel forward bookings are higher in all key regions (Europe, Thailand, Maldives, Australia) and Thai restaurant same-store sales rose mid-to-high single digits in July. This points to continued demand, supporting the stock.
It gives forward-looking evidence that the profit trend will continue.
▲
Bonchon acquisition adds profit MINT is buying the Bonchon Korean chicken franchise outside the Americas for about 1.65 billion baht. The deal is expected to close in August and immediately add profit through royalty fees, with low capital spending, boosting earnings and the stock.
It is a new deal that directly adds to future earnings.
▲
Asset-light hotel expansion continues MINT opened seven new hotels and signed over 20 new management deals, targeting 50 this year. This growth uses less of its own money, so it can expand and cut debt without heavy spending, supporting the stock.
It shows a low-cost growth path that also helps reduce debt.

Minor International Surges on European Hotel Recovery and Expansion
▲
European Hotel Recovery Drives Profit Surge Minor International's Q2 core profit is expected to jump to 3.5 billion baht from 145 million in Q1, fueled by a strong rebound in European hotels. First-half net profit rose 13% to 3.957 billion baht, with hotel profit up 32%.
This is the main earnings driver for the quarter, showing a sharp turnaround in profitability.
▲
Restaurant Expansion and Bonchon Acquisition Minor International is expanding its restaurant business with OR, targeting over 150 outlets by 2030, and acquired Bonchon for 1.65 billion baht, adding royalty income. These moves strengthen its food segment and diversify revenue.
These strategic actions boost future growth prospects and immediate royalty income.
▲
Asset-Light Hotel Growth and Strong Bookings Minor International opened seven new hotels and signed over 20 new management deals, advancing its asset-light strategy. Forward bookings are strong across all regions, and Thai tourism is improving, supporting future revenue.
This shows operational momentum and a pipeline for future growth without heavy capital expenditure.
▼
REIT Injection Delay Creates Uncertainty Minor International delayed its REIT asset injection due to unfavorable markets, creating uncertainty around its debt-reduction plan. However, profit growth and asset sales partly offset this setback.
This is a key risk that could pressure the stock, though partially mitigated by other positives.

Maybank raises 2026 SET target to 1,590 points, recommends stock picking
Maybank Securities (Thailand) Public Company Limited has raised its 2026 SET Index target to 1,590 points from 1,550 points, but maintained a Neutral view because the overall market upside is not particularly high. Speaking at an online seminar titled "Decoding Thai Stocks, Fourth Quarter: Finding the Next Winners," the firm said earnings support from listed companies is not yet broad-based, with upward earnings revisions concentrated mainly in the electronics and energy sectors, while bond yields in several countries remain elevated, pressuring valuations of risk assets. On the Thai economy, Maybank expects GDP growth of 2.4% in 2026 and 2.7% in 2027, supported by exports, private investment, and a recovery in tourism, though the government's fiscal capacity has diminished amid a higher public debt level. For its fourth-quarter strategy, Maybank recommends focusing on adjusting weights between industry groups and selecting individual stocks rather than investing based on index direction. It highlights three standout groups: consumer finance, where valuations are starting to look attractive again, with TIDLOR, KTC, and MTC as top picks; tourism and transport, where earnings momentum continues, with AWC, AOT, BA, and MINT; and hospital businesses, which have stable revenue and specific supporting factors, with BH and CHG. At the same time, it advises increased caution in three groups: utilities and energy, which has been downgraded from Positive to Neutral; petrochemicals; and retail.
KS-SBITO says floods only slightly dent tourism, recommends home-repair and retail stocks to benefit from recovery
Securities analysts at Kasikorn Securities, or KS, said that although nationwide reservoir water levels are as high as 78% of capacity, the tourism sector is still operating normally, so they estimate that third-quarter 2026 earnings for the tourism group will be affected only slightly. Airports of Thailand, or AOT, has reported no flight cancellations, and major airlines AAV, BA and THAI continue to operate as normal. Meanwhile, hotel operators led by AWC, CENTEL, DUSIT, ERW, MINT, SHR and VRANDA have suffered no property damage, though room booking cancellations in the provinces run about 2% to 15%, partly offset by guests extending their stays. KS therefore maintains its investment weighting on the hotel group, sees the drop in share prices driven by the flood factor as a buying opportunity, and recommends buying AWC with a target price of 3.74 baht, CENTEL with a target price of 48.11 baht, and THAI with a target price of 6.78 baht. Separately, SBI Thai Online, or SBITO, assesses that this crisis will be a medium-term boost for four main business groups in the recovery: the home repair and construction materials group, led by HMPRO, GLOBAL, DOHOME and MR.DIY; the retail and consumer goods group, led by CPALL and CPAXT; the communications group, led by ADVANC and TRUE; and the tourism group, where economic activity will gradually recover after the situation eases.
AWC.BK · Capital · Positive KS recommends buying AWC with a 3.74 baht target price, calling the flood-driven share drop a buying opportunity.
CENTEL.BK · Capital · Positive KS recommends buying CENTEL with a 48.11 baht target price, viewing the flood-related price drop as a buying opportunity.
CPALL.BK · Demand · Positive SBITO expects the retail and consumer goods group led by CPALL to benefit from medium-term recovery after the floods.
CPAXT.BK · Demand · Positive SBITO names CPAXT among the retail and consumer goods leaders expected to gain from post-flood recovery.
DOHOME.BK · Demand · Positive SBITO lists DOHOME in the home repair and construction materials group set to benefit from flood recovery.
GLOBAL.BK · Demand · Positive SBITO names GLOBAL among home-repair and construction materials leaders expected to benefit from post-flood recovery demand.
TTBWEALTH Picks 8 Stocks to Benefit from Flooding, Highlighting Retail and Construction Materials
TTBWEALTH Public Company Limited, or TTBWEALTH, assesses that this round of flooding will have a limited impact on the economy, as it is short-term and severe only in certain areas, unlike the 2011 event that flooded many areas and lasted several weeks to several months. In the short term, some stocks have gained both positive and negative sentiment. The groups benefiting positively include consumer goods retail, led by CPALL, CPAXT and CRC, as well as the home improvement and construction materials group, which is expected to benefit from demand for home repairs after the water recedes, namely HMPRO, GLOBAL, DOHOME, TOA and TASCO. Meanwhile, the groups affected negatively include insurance, such as TIPH, and tourism, namely AOT, ERW and CENTEL. In addition, several listed companies have updated the situation. DELTA reported that some areas were flooded but machinery and factories were not damaged, and operations returned to normal today after production lines were halted last Sunday. CENTEL had only some hotels affected, such as the Lat Phrao area where water entered the lobby, and the Pattaya zone, with a small number of customer cancellations. Its food business saw some sales decline from temporary store closures, but overall the impact is considered limited. MINT stated that most of its hotels are not in flood zones, its properties were not damaged, and it continues to operate normally. CPN confirmed that no shopping centers were closed, though it may be affected by a decline in customer traffic during the floods, and it expects no rental discounts to be offered.

Asia Plus says tourism stocks face limited impact from Bangkok floods, recommends CENTEL
Asia Plus Securities assesses that although flooding in Bangkok has caused flight delays, major airports Suvarnabhumi and Don Mueang remain open and operating normally, while inner Bangkok and key destinations such as Chiang Mai, Phuket, and Samui remain safe. If the situation eases quickly, the impact on travel during the fourth quarter of 2026 through the first quarter of 2027, which is the tourism high season, will be limited. The Middle East situation remains the main factor shaping the direction of the tourism sector. For CENTEL, Thailand accounts for about 60% of hotel revenue, split between Bangkok at 22% and the provinces at 38%, which helps cushion the impact of the floods. Its restaurant business has about 34% of restaurant revenue in Bangkok, with average restaurant sales in Bangkok at roughly 12 million baht per day, and every single day that sales are hit by 30% to 50% would affect quarterly sales by only 0.1% to 0.2%. ERW says its Lux to Eco hotels, which account for 74% of revenue, remain open as normal, with about 54% of revenue in Bangkok, while Hop Inn, which accounts for 26% of revenue, has some branches affected but mostly in the provinces. MINT derives about 50% of revenue from hotels in the EU, so it faces a more limited fundamental impact. The research team maintains its view that normal profits for AOT and Thai hotel operators for the October to December period will expand both quarter on quarter and year on year, continuing through the January to March 2027 period in line with the tourism season. Although the market may open risk-off in the short term, the effect on earnings forecasts remains limited. It still favours CENTEL, followed by AOT, while ERW is an event trade and THAI is a tactical buy after its share price fell 12% year to date versus the SET's gain of 28%. If jet fuel rises above its previous peak in April at 209 US dollars per barrel and affects flight capacity, that would be a tactical trigger to consider reducing weightings in the tourism sector.
CENTEL.BK · Demand · Positive Asia Plus favors CENTEL, noting its diversified Bangkok/provincial hotel and restaurant mix cushions flood impact and Q4 earnings should still expand.
ERW.BK · Demand · Neutral ERW's Lux to Eco hotels remain open but some Hop Inn branches are affected; flagged only as an event trade.
AOT.BK · Demand · Positive Research team maintains normal profits for AOT will expand QoQ and YoY through the tourism high season despite Bangkok floods.
MINT.BK · Demand · Positive MINT derives about 50% of hotel revenue from the EU, so it faces a more limited fundamental impact from the Bangkok floods.
THAI.BK · Capital · Neutral THAI is called a tactical buy after its share price fell 12% year to date, with no company-specific operational development cited.
Brokers say 'Nene Royal' buzz boosts Phuket; hotel stocks gain from high season, recommend accumulating AWC, CENTEL, ERW
Analysts view the buzz around 'Nene Royal', or Ms. Rattikan Amloy from Phuket province, who won season 21 of America's Got Talent, as helping build global recognition and drawing tourists to Phuket and lifting Thailand's overall tourism during this year-end travel season. Mr. Puwadon Pusodngern, an investment strategist in the research department at Bualuang Securities Public Company Limited, told 'Than Hoon' that Phuket's tourist arrival statistics were already growing well and ranked among the top in the country before the Nene Royal phenomenon, so it further strengthens this area. For hotel and tourism stocks with a customer base in Phuket, AWC is recommended with a fundamental target price of 4 baht, supported by advance bookings that lift profit through the first quarter of 2026 and a Phuket hotel portfolio that suits high-purchasing-power customers. CENTEL has a fundamental target price of 49 baht, benefiting from a low profit base that is ready to recover, and ERW has a fundamental target price of 4.50 baht, gaining less value benefit than AWC and CENTEL because it relies mainly on tourist numbers. The strategy recommends gradual accumulation. Meanwhile, CRC has a fundamental target price of 34 baht, supported directly by higher tourist spending, in line with an analysis by Maybank Securities (Thailand) Public Company Limited, which holds a positive view on Thailand's tourism group, citing a recovering short-haul market, an upcycle in average room rates, a recovery in MICE spending led by China, and undemanding share prices. It prefers AWC over ERW and MINT given stronger earnings-per-share growth prospects.
AWC.BK · Demand · Positive Recommended with a 4 baht target, supported by advance bookings lifting profit through Q1 2026 and a Phuket hotel portfolio suited to high-purchasing-power tourists.
CENTEL.BK · Demand · Positive Recommended with a 49 baht target, benefiting from a low profit base ready to recover amid the high-season tourism boost.
ERW.BK · Demand · Positive Recommended with a 4.50 baht target, though it gains less benefit than AWC and CENTEL because it relies mainly on tourist numbers.
CRC.BK · Demand · Positive Has a 34 baht target, supported directly by higher tourist spending as Thailand's tourism group recovers.
MINT.BK · Competition · Neutral Only mentioned as a peer that Maybank prefers AWC over, with no company-specific development discussed.
InnovestX recommends 9 stocks benefiting from tourism in Q4 2026 through H1 2027
Analysts at InnovestX Securities have released a list of 9 standout stocks set to benefit from the recovery of Thailand's tourism sector, along with a strategy of timing purchases for trading gains. They see Thailand entering the full swing of the tourism high season in the fourth quarter of 2026, starting with China's Golden Week from October 1-7, 2026, followed by European travellers escaping the cold and the Christmas-New Year festival. Meanwhile, 2026 also has upside from hosting world-class events, namely the World Bank-IMF meetings from October 12-18 in Bangkok, which are expected to draw 15,000-18,000 participants, and the Tomorrowland Thailand 2026 music festival from December 11-13 in Chonburi province, which is estimated to attract more than 15,000 attendees, over 85% of them foreign tourists. Based on historical statistics, the number of foreign tourists in the fourth quarter typically recovers significantly from the third quarter, with overall growth of 10% and 17% in 2024 and 2025 respectively, and the fourth quarter of 2026 is expected to grow close to or better than the previous year, driven by a tourist mix of mass tourism and high-spending MICE groups, which will significantly boost per-capita spending. The positive momentum is expected to extend into the first half of 2027, thanks to the Chinese New Year festival in the first quarter of 2027 and the Songkran festival coupled with the Thai Tiew Thai Plus measure expected to begin in April 2027 in the second quarter of 2027. The investment strategy therefore recommends timing purchases for trading gains in two main groups: stocks that benefit directly from foreign tourists' travel and stays in Thailand, namely the tourism group AOT, ERW, CENTEL and MINT, and stocks that benefit indirectly through increased consumer goods spending, namely the commerce group CPALL, CRC and CPN, and the beverage group HTC and ICHI.
AOT.BK · Demand · Positive Named as a direct tourism beneficiary from increased foreign tourist travel and stays in Thailand in Q4 2026 through H1 2027.
CENTEL.BK · Demand · Positive Named as a direct tourism beneficiary from foreign tourists' travel and stays in Thailand during the high season.
ERW.BK · Demand · Positive Named as a direct tourism beneficiary from foreign tourists' travel and stays in Thailand during the high season.
MINT.BK · Demand · Positive Named as a direct tourism beneficiary from foreign tourists' travel and stays in Thailand during the high season.
Yuanta Securities expects US midterm elections to pressure SET, sees volatility, highlights 6 stocks to weather the storm
Yuanta Securities assesses that this round of US midterm elections is likely to increase short-term volatility in the stock market, with the current environment bearing some resemblance to 2018, when the S&P 500 declined in the one month before the election amid pressure from trade tensions and the Fed's rising interest rate cycle. The key pressures this time come from the Iran war, the Fed's return to rate hikes, and political uncertainty ahead of the election. The difference from 2018 is the direction of Fed monetary policy, which, although returning to rate hikes again, is still less restrictive this cycle, and the latest Dot Plot suggests that further rate increases are likely limited. At the same time, the decision to raise rates this round also helps reinforce confidence in the Fed's independence and reduces the Policy Risk Premium somewhat. The research team assesses that although the market still faces the risk of a correction before or during the Midterm Election, the downside may be more limited than in 2018 due to reduced monetary policy pressure. Top Picks include JPMUS19, NVDA19, AMZN19, META80, and NBIS80. On the Thai stock side, they include GULF, GUNKUL, SSP, MINT, SCB, and BBL.
Asia Plus flags 10 stocks set to benefit from CAPPED WEIGHT top-ups in rebalance round, led by DELTA
The research team at Asia Plus Securities said that in the fourth quarter of 2026, the Thai capital market has an interesting issue arising from CAPPED WEIGHT index rebalancing. The SET50 index has a rule capping any single stock's weight at no more than 10%, creating a MEAN REVERSION phenomenon: when large-cap stocks decline in price, their FLOATING WEIGHT falls, for example DELTA dropping from 10% to 7.28%. When the end-of-quarter REBALANCE arrives, PASSIVE FUNDs must buy the stocks that fell heavily to top their weights back up to 10%, and sell stocks that have risen or whose weight exceeds 10%. The research team calculated the 10 stocks that will be added to in the fourth-quarter 2026 round, with DELTA benefiting the most from the top-up back to 10% from 7.28%, followed by MRDIYT, MINT, THAI, TFG, BANPU, ADVANC, CPN, CPALL and AOT. This group is expected to see price support from PASSIVE FUND money flows before October.
DELTA.BK · · Positive DELTA is the biggest beneficiary of passive-fund top-up buying back to the 10% SET50 weight cap from 7.28% at the Q4 2026 rebalance.
MINT.BK · · Positive MINT is named among the 10 stocks expected to receive passive-fund top-up buying in the Q4 2026 SET50 rebalance.
MRDIYT.BK · · Positive MRDIYT is named among the 10 stocks expected to receive passive-fund top-up buying in the Q4 2026 SET50 rebalance.
TFG.BK · · Positive TFG is named among the 10 stocks expected to receive passive-fund top-up buying in the Q4 2026 SET50 rebalance.
THAI.BK · · Positive THAI is named among the 10 stocks expected to receive passive-fund top-up buying in the Q4 2026 SET50 rebalance.
ADVANC.BK · · Positive ADVANC is among the 10 SET50 stocks flagged to receive passive-fund weight top-up buying in the Q4 2026 rebalance.
Brokers pick MINT, expect 2H26 profit to grow both HoH and YoY, targets 15-20% revenue growth over three years
A securities research note recommends buying MINT, assessing that the company's second-half 2026 earnings outlook remains positive, with growth expected both half-on-half and year-on-year, driven by the hotel business, where forward bookings are higher than a year earlier in the key markets of Europe, Thailand, the Maldives and Australia. Meanwhile, the food business in Thailand is beginning to recover, with same-store sales in July growing at a mid-to-high single digit rate year-on-year on the back of new product launches and a recovery in consumption. For the third quarter of 2026, profit is expected to soften quarter-on-quarter due to the seasonality of European hotels, but still grow year-on-year, before accelerating in the fourth quarter of 2026 on the high season in Thailand and the Maldives, as well as European bookings that remain above last year's levels. The impact from the Middle East is fairly limited, accounting for only 5% of hotel business profit.
Over the next three years, the focus will be on growth alongside debt reduction. MINT targets 15-20% growth in revenue and net profit and is pressing ahead with expanding both hotels and restaurants through an asset-light strategy to reduce capital expenditure and increase return on capital. It also targets lowering Net IBD/E to 0.75-0.85 times and Net Debt/EBITDA to below 4 times. On the hotel side, it aims to sign more than 50 management contracts in 2026, after securing 30 in the first half of 2026, and plans to open more than 11 new hotels across eight countries in the second half.
Minor Food is another growth driver, through franchise expansion and the addition of new brands. The acquisition of the global intellectual property rights to Bonchon in eight Asian markets immediately adds revenue from franchise fees and sauce sales. The company is also expanding stores through franchise agreements and partnerships with allies such as PTTOR, which targets opening 150 branches by 2030. This strategy lets MINT expand its network with less capital while keeping 2026 CAPEX at 15 billion baht, even including the Bonchon investment.
Meanwhile, the plan to set up a REIT has been postponed, as interest rates and volatility stemming from the Middle East have pushed up the yield investors demand. The company insists the delay is due to market sentiment and is unrelated to problems with the assets or the process. In the meantime, MINT will reduce debt through operating cash flow, asset rotation, repayment of high-cost debt and asset-light expansion, which will lower CAPEX needs and support a recovery in ROE. That said, the market is judged to have largely priced this in already, after the stock lagged the sector by about 11.5% year-to-date. The average target price from the IAA Consensus is 29.90 baht.
On the technical side, the stock pulled back in the short term to form support at the low of a 21-day candle and reversed upward with a series of candles forming higher lows, rising to stand above the 5-day and 13-day simple moving averages. This is a bullish candle signal within a large V-shaped pattern. A resistance zone sits at 22.40-22.50; a break and close above it would be a positive signal confirming the pattern. For investment advice: if you already hold the stock, hold or add on dips, with a chance to test resistance at 22.40-22.50 and 22.90. If you do not hold the stock, buy for the short term, focusing on holding support at 21.80 and 21.40, and it should not fall below that.
MINT.BK · Capital · Positive Broker research note recommends buying MINT, citing positive 2H26 earnings outlook with profit growth HoH and YoY.
MINT.BK · Demand · Positive Forward hotel bookings are higher than a year earlier in key markets and Thai same-store food sales grew mid-to-high single digits on new products and consumption recovery.
Bonchon International Inc. · Demand · Positive MINT's acquisition of global IP rights to Bonchon in eight Asian markets immediately adds franchise revenue, benefiting Bonchon's expansion.
Foreign tourist arrivals to Thailand rebound 5.7%, favouring CENTEL and AOT over the sector
Foreign tourists arriving in Thailand during 13–19 September 2026 totalled 464,200, beginning a seasonal recovery of 5.7% from the previous week ahead of the high season. Short-haul arrivals came to 324,816, up 8.6% week on week, while long-haul arrivals were 139,384, down 0.4% week on week. The recovery was led by Malaysian tourists at 69,255, up 29.1% on Malaysia Day, and Japanese tourists at 30,494, up 55.4% ahead of Silver Week, while Chinese tourists numbered 66,151, up 1.2%, and Russian tourists 19,531, up 7.6%. On forward bookings for Golden Week, Trip.com signalled positive momentum after Chinese tourists' flight bookings to Phuket rose 78% from a year earlier, supported by the long holiday combining the Mid-Autumn Festival and Golden Week, which is likely to see Chinese tourists start travelling from 25 September. The research team at Asia Plus Securities views the Phuket flight bookings as a positive signal for AOT's international passenger numbers, particularly at Phuket airport, which accounts for about 12% of AOT's revenue. Among hotel groups with a high share of revenue from Phuket, CENTEL leads with about 15% of hotel revenue, followed by ERW at about 9% of hotel revenue, while MINT's main revenue share lies in the EU. The research team continues to emphasise investment in Thai tourism, favouring CENTEL followed by AOT, whose earnings momentum in 2027 looks stronger than the sector's. ERW is an event trade and THAI is a tactical buy tracking the direction of Brent crude, after the share price fell 14% this year against a 27% rise in the SET, which the team sees as having largely priced in the negatives. It estimates that AOT's normal profit, as well as that of Thai hotel groups, will expand in the October-to-December period both quarter on quarter and year on year, continuing into the January-to-March 2027 period as the peak season arrives along with major events during Chinese New Year.
DELTA drags Thai stocks below 1,600 points after $1.5 billion convertible bond
The Thai stock market swung lower and fell below the 1,600-point level during September 14-18, 2026, with DELTA the main stock weighing on the index after its parent company issued a $1.5 billion convertible bond exchangeable into DELTA shares. The conversion price was set at a premium of 15-20% for a one-year tenor, equivalent to 289-302 baht, and 30-40% for a five-year tenor, equivalent to 327-353 baht. As a result, bondholders short-sold the shares to reduce price risk. The bond was split into a one-year tranche worth $500 million and a five-year tranche worth $1.0 billion, issued by Delta of Taiwan to fund business expansion. Meanwhile, the Fed meeting raised interest rates by 25 basis points to 3.75-4.00%, as the market expected, and the Dot Plot projected rates at 4.1% for both end-2026 and end-2027. Tourism-related stocks AOT, MINT and CENTEL were pressured by the delay of the Thai Tiew Thai Plus measure from late 2026 to 2027. Oil and refinery stocks TOP, SPRC and BCP were pressured by an announcement in the Royal Gazette cutting the ex-refinery price for high-speed diesel by 4.00 baht per litre, from a previous reduction of 2.40 baht per litre. Banking stocks KBANK, KTB and BBL, along with insurers BLA and TLI, rose on expectations that interest rates are on an upward trend.

Pi Securities expects SET to trade in 1570-1595 range, highlights Non Bank stocks as attractive for accumulation
Pi Securities estimates the SET index today will move in a range of 1570 to 1595, viewing Non Bank stocks as attractive for accumulation again on expectations of lower yields ahead. It names stocks in this group including MTC, SAWAD and TIDLOR. Meanwhile, US stock markets closed higher, with the DJIA up 0.61% and the S&P 500 up 1.14%, after the Fed raised interest rates by 25 basis points and signalled it may hike once more this year. Brent crude fell to around 104 to 105 dollars per barrel after Middle East concerns eased somewhat and Saudi Arabia said it would resume oil exports, helping push the US 10-year yield and 30-year yield lower. On US economic data released overnight, initial jobless claims came in at about 196,000, below market expectations. For short-term strategy, it recommends TECH names including DELTA and KCE after the Kospi rose about 2.5% this morning, as well as the tourism group including AOT, MINT, CENTEL, AWC, CPALL, CPN and HMPRO, and the hospital group including BDMS, BCH and PR9.
Brokers say Thailand Travel Thailand Plus likely delayed to April 2027, hitting hotel stocks short-term but an upside for next year
Two brokers assess that the Thailand Travel Thailand Plus scheme is likely to be pushed back from October 1, 2026 to around April 2027, because private-sector surveys, especially among hotel businesses, found that running the scheme during high season yields no added benefit since rooms are already full and tourists have already planned their trips in advance. The research team at DAOL Securities (Thailand) sees this as negative sentiment for the tourism group, because it prompts tourists to postpone their travel, but the delay to April 2027 should help the hotel group more since it begins to enter the low season. The scheme still keeps its budget framework of 4 billion baht, with 1 million entitlements, government support of 1,500 baht per night for accommodation, up to 5 nights, plus digital co-payment coupons on a 50-50 basis, split into 1,500 baht per day for main cities and 2,000 baht per day for secondary cities. The stocks receiving the most negative sentiment, in descending order of their domestic hotel exposure, are ERW, CENTEL, MINT and SHR. DAOL gives the tourism group an overweight rating versus the market, and likes CENTEL with a target price of 48.00 baht, from July to August 2026 RevPAR excluding Dubai rising 8% year on year and third-quarter 2026 on-the-book up 8% year on year, with Thailand up 13% year on year, the Maldives up 35% year on year, but Japan down 12% year on year and Dubai down 25% year on year. Meanwhile, fourth-quarter 2026 on-the-book RevPAR rises by double-digit growth year on year, from Thailand at 13% year on year, the Maldives at 40% year on year and Japan at 18% year on year. Fourth-quarter 2026 profit is expected to recover strongly, with the stock trading at an EV/EBITDA of only 13 times, equivalent to minus 0.50 standard deviations over the past 8 years. It also likes ERW with a target price of 4.20 baht, from third-quarter 2026 on-the-book RevPAR growing another roughly 5% year on year off a low base, while the fourth quarter of 2026 has events such as the World Bank and IMF meetings in October 2026 and Tomorrowland in December 2026, which have seen bookings continue to rise, with occupancy already as high as 80%. It currently trades at a PER of 20 times, against an average of about 25 times. Meanwhile, Krungsri Securities sees the scheme's delay pushing back the positive catalyst for the hotel group, but it does not affect 2026 profit forecasts because the research team had not yet included it in estimates, and the stronger-than-expected recovery in RevPAR and on-the-book in the second half of 2026, at 25-30% year on year, offsets it. Moreover, the delay of the scheme to the low season of 2027 could create upside for 2027 profit, so it maintains a bullish stance on hotel stocks and picks AWC with a target price of 3.90 baht and ERW with a target price of 4.20 baht as top picks, as they benefit most from the recovery in the domestic hotel business.

ERW.BK · Regulation · Negative Named as the stock with the most negative sentiment from the delay of the Thailand Travel Thailand Plus scheme.

Dao Securities says tourism has bottomed out, recommends ERW, CENTEL, MINT, SHR
Dao Securities assesses that tourist numbers have already hit their lowest point in 2Q26E and will recover prominently in 4Q26E, driven by China's National Day in October and several events in December 2026. Foreign tourist arrivals in the latest week of September 6-12 stood at 439,069, down 7% week-on-week and 22% year-on-year, or an average of 62,724 per day. The markets posting the biggest declines were Malaysia at 53,638 (-28% WoW/-63% YoY), China at 65,380 (-10% WoW/-2% YoY), and Japan at 19,628 (-5% WoW), while Russia at 18,154 (+4% WoW/+7% YoY) and India at 39,857 (+2% WoW/-26% YoY) still rose. Dao Securities estimates total tourist arrivals for 2026E at 32 million, down 3% YoY from 33 million in 2025, and Chinese tourists for 2026E at 4.8 million, up 7% YoY from 4.5 million in 2025. Cumulative arrivals from January 1 to September 12, 2026 stood at 21.72 million, down 3.38% YoY. Dao Securities assigns an "overweight" investment rating to the tourism sector. It favours CENTEL (Buy/target 48.00 baht) on RevPAR for July-August 2026 excluding Dubai rising 8% YoY and 4Q26E on-the-book growth in double digits YoY, and favours ERW (Buy/target 4.20 baht) on 3Q26E on-the-book RevPAR growth of around 5% YoY with occupancy already as high as 80%. The stocks that benefit, ranked by proportion of domestic hotels from highest to lowest, are ERW, CENTEL, MINT, SHR.
CGSI keeps Overweight on tourism, names THAI and ERW as Top Picks for the high season in Q4 2026
CGS International Securities (Thailand) has maintained its Overweight rating on Thailand's tourism sector, naming THAI and ERW as its Top Picks for the fourth-quarter 2026 high season, after foreign tourist arrivals fell only 3% year-on-year in July and August 2026, an improvement from a decline of about 5% year-on-year in the first half of 2026, when the first quarter fell 2.4% and the second quarter fell 8.1%. The recovery was led by Chinese tourists, who rose 9% in July 2026 and 18% in August 2026 to 482,000, the highest since February 2026, while Middle Eastern tourists rose 9% in July 2026 and 15% in August 2026. In the hotel group, ERW is the best choice given its high proportion of hotel business and more attractive valuation than its peers, while SHR is viewed more favourably than MINT, which still faces uncertainty over the establishment of a REIT. In the aviation group, THAI is viewed more favourably than AOT because its earnings have already passed their trough in 2026 and are likely to recover from the third quarter of 2026 on lower fuel costs, with cabin factor at about 85% and ticket bookings for September 2026 higher than in September 2025, while the benefit from AOT's increase in the departure passenger service fee is likely to have already been largely reflected in its share price.
ERW.BK · Capital · Positive ERW named a Top Pick in the hotel group for the Q4 2026 high season, cited for its high hotel exposure and attractive valuation versus peers.
THAI.BK · Capital · Positive THAI named a Top Pick in aviation, with earnings past their trough and set to recover from Q3 2026 on lower fuel costs and higher September bookings.
AOT.BK · Capital · Neutral AOT viewed less favourably than THAI as its departure passenger service fee benefit is likely already reflected in its share price.
MINT.BK · Capital · Negative MINT viewed less favourably than SHR due to uncertainty over the establishment of a REIT.
SHR.BK · Capital · Positive SHR viewed more favourably than MINT in the hotel group.
Asia Plus says Thai aviation and hotel stocks can weather the expensive oil storm, picks CENTEL, AOT, ERW
Asia Plus Securities said Brent crude rose sharply above 100 USD per barrel due to conflict centred on oil shipping routes, unlike the broad-based disruption in the second quarter of 2019. The MSCI World Hotels, Restaurants & Leisure Index fell 0.1% day-on-day, compared with a 0.7% day-on-day decline in the MSCI ACWI, amid a risk-off correction. The research team views the driver for the tourism sector ahead of the November to February travel season as coming from Golden Week on 1 October, with Chinese tourist numbers showing improvement, reflected in Chinese arrivals to Thailand exceeding those to Vietnam for two consecutive months. In July 2019 they stood at 460,000, versus 390,000 for Vietnam, and in August at 480,000, versus 460,000 for Vietnam. Meanwhile, China-Thailand flight capacity for the fourth quarter of 2019, based on Bloomberg Intelligence data dated 8 September, showed seats on China-Thailand routes expanding 11.8% year-on-year, compared with an 11.5% year-on-year increase for China-Vietnam, and an overall increase of 8.5% year-on-year. The research team assesses that the impact of this round of Brent gains on the sector is likely to be less severe than in the second quarter of 2019, which was the low season, and favours stocks with a high proportion of Chinese customers, namely AOT, where Chinese travellers account for about 24% of international passengers, followed by ERW, where Chinese customers make up about 14% of room revenue, then CENTEL, MINT and THAI. It maintains its view that normalised profit for the Thai hotel sector in the fourth quarter of 2019 is still expanding year-on-year, supported by on-the-books figures running higher than a year earlier, with CENTEL standing out above the sector. AOT has drivers from passenger service charges and its cost control plan. The research team also picks CENTEL, AOT and ERW as event trades, seeing share price corrections as an opportunity to accumulate Thai tourism stocks, and says that if jet fuel rises above its previous peak of 209 USD per barrel in April and starts to affect flight capacity, that would be a tactical trigger to reduce weighting in the tourism sector.
AOT.BK · Demand · Positive Favoured for high Chinese-customer mix (~24% of international passengers) with China-Thailand Q4 seat capacity up 11.8% YoY and rising Chinese arrivals.
CENTEL.BK · Demand · Positive Named as standing out above the sector with Q4 normalised profit expanding YoY on higher on-the-books figures and Chinese customers ~14% of room revenue.
ERW.BK · Demand · Positive Favoured for Chinese customers making up about 14% of room revenue amid improving Chinese arrivals to Thailand.
MINT.BK · Demand · Neutral Only listed among favoured names with high Chinese-customer exposure, no company-specific development given.
THAI.BK · Demand · Neutral Mentioned only in the list of favoured stocks with high Chinese-customer proportion, no specific detail.

MINT and BDMS Highlight Wellness & Longevity Trends to Attract Health Tourists
MINT and BDMS are highlighting Wellness & Longevity trends to cater to modern tourists. William Ellwood Heinecke, founder and chairman of MINT, said that MINT currently operates about 600 hotels in 60 countries and has observed growing interest in health across all age groups, not just the elderly. Tourists want Wellness, Longevity, and Biohacking services during their stays. Thailand has a strong ecosystem, including world-class services, food, and affordable medical care. Although Vietnam and Bali are catching up, they still lack such a comprehensive ecosystem. Dr. Pramaporn Prasarttong-Osoth, CEO of BDMS, noted that Wellness has shifted from treating illness to preventive medicine. International tourists stay in Thailand for an average of 10 days, presenting an opportunity for lifestyle transformation. However, the major challenge is connecting various elements to create experiences that encourage repeat visits for continued health care. Sophie Hacher, a neuroscience expert, said that younger generations want health data and are reducing alcohol consumption. Wellness tourism is growing, and Thailand's strength lies in blending modern science with traditional practices such as Thai herbs, Buddhism, and traditional Chinese medicine, which attracts tourists to return repeatedly over decades.
MINT expects Thai hotel bookings to grow 11-14% in Q3
William Ellwood Heinecke, founder and chairman of Minor International Public Company Limited (MINT), revealed that hotel bookings in Thailand for the third quarter of 2026 are expected to grow by approximately 11-14% compared to the same period last year. The growth is driven by hotels in Bangkok and key tourist destinations such as Phuket, Samui, and Chiang Rai, with a positive trend continuing into the fourth quarter of 2026, despite the high revenue base in the fourth quarter of 2025. The company is implementing a Medical Wellness model in three hotels in partnership with BDMS to attract high-end and long-stay tourists, using Thailand as a pilot market before expanding abroad. He also called on the government to improve regulations, visas, and immigration systems to facilitate medical tourism, in order to compete with Malaysia and Vietnam.
MINT.BK · Demand · Positive Thai hotel bookings are expected to grow 11-14% in Q3 2026, driven by Bangkok, Phuket, Samui and Chiang Rai properties.
BDMS.BK · Demand · Positive MINT is partnering with BDMS on a Medical Wellness model in three Thai hotels, bringing high-end and long-stay medical tourists to BDMS's services.
Thailand Trapped by Outdated Laws, Hindering Wellness Economy; Four Big Players Urge Major Reform
At the panel discussion "The Future of the Human-Centric Economy" during The Bangkok Business Summit 2026, executives from BDMS, Minor International, and Landscape Collaboration, along with a neuroscience expert, called on the Thai government to reform outdated regulations to unlock the potential of the health economy. They proposed establishing a Sandbox for the Wellness industry in pilot areas and making visa systems more flexible to attract high-quality tourists. The Chairman of BDMS stated that the main issue in elderly care is cost, while the Chairman of Minor International warned that Malaysia, which has more legal flexibility, has already surpassed Thailand with 43 million tourists, and Thailand may lose high-end customers if it does not adapt.
BDMS.BK · Regulation · Neutral BDMS chairman called for regulatory reform and a wellness sandbox to unlock the health economy, but no concrete policy change yet.
MINT.BK · Regulation · Neutral Minor International chairman urged flexible visa rules and regulatory reform, warning Thailand risks losing high-end tourists to Malaysia.

Analysts Point to Accumulation Window for Thai Stocks as SET Corrects to 1,550-1,580 Points
Analysts from Pi Securities Public Company Limited expect that foreign fund flow selling pressure from August to November 2026 will weigh on the Thai stock market, due to the seasonal 'September Blue' factor and uncertainty ahead of the U.S. midterm elections. However, they still see the Thai economy recovering in the second half of the year, supported by government measures, investment, and tourism. They recommend waiting for an accumulation opportunity when the SET corrects to 1,550-1,580 points, using a selective buy strategy focusing on dividend stocks such as SCB, ADVANC, MINT, BDMS, and WHA. This follows first-half results from listed companies showing net profits of 765,969 million baht, up 22.2% year-on-year.
Kasikorn Securities highlights five hotel and airline stocks set to benefit from Thai Teaw Thai Plus
Kasikorn Securities said the government is preparing to launch the Thai Teaw Thai Plus programme on 1 October to stimulate domestic tourism, targeting total tourism revenue of 3 trillion baht within four years. For 2026, revenue is expected to be close to the previous year at 2.7 trillion baht, with around 33 million foreign tourists, while moving towards high-value tourism and using data and artificial intelligence to upgrade marketing. The research team views this as positive for tourism, hotel, airline, airport and retail sectors, especially Airports of Thailand, Central Plaza Hotel, The Erawan Group, Minor International and Asset World Corporation, if the measures help stimulate domestic travel and spending in the fourth quarter of 2026 as expected.
TAT reveals foreign tourists to Thailand surpass 19 million, supporting hotel stocks
The Tourism Authority of Thailand revealed that from 1 January to 15 August 2026, cumulative foreign tourist arrivals exceeded 19 million, generating revenue of 957.618 billion baht. The top five source markets were China with 3.33 million visitors, Malaysia with 2.50 million, India with 1.46 million, Russia with 1.14 million, and South Korea with 729,000. For the second half of 2026, the public and private sectors will host world-class events such as the IMF–World Bank Annual Meetings 2026 in Bangkok from 12 to 18 October 2026, with participants from 191 countries, as well as Tomorrowland Thailand and Wonderfruit 2026 in Pattaya, Chonburi province, which are expected to draw large numbers of international attendees. Traditional events such as Loy Krathong and countdown celebrations will also be held across many areas nationwide. For the 2027 target, the Tourism Authority of Thailand aims for foreign tourist arrivals to grow by no less than 5% from 2026, when arrivals are expected to reach 33 million, while spreading tourists to primary and secondary cities in a 60 to 40 ratio and pushing the loyalty index into the top three in Asia. Central Plaza Hotel Public Company Limited, or CENTEL, expects group-wide RevPAR in the third quarter of 2026 to rise 3 to 5% year on year, with the fourth quarter of 2026 continuing to improve, as advance bookings for October 2026 are higher than the same period last year. For 2026, the company expects an occupancy rate of 70 to 75%, RevPAR of 4,200 to 4,400 baht, and total joint venture revenue growth of 3 to 5%, or 14.2 to 14.5 billion baht. The Erawan Group Public Company Limited, or ERW, assesses that its business in the second half of 2026 will grow better than the first half thanks to the high season and national events that stimulate travel, while maintaining its 2026 total revenue growth target of 9% year on year, split between 7% growth in the luxury-to-economy hotel segment and 14% growth in the budget segment, or HOP INN. Analysts at Yuanta Securities Thailand expect third-quarter 2026 performance to recover from the second quarter of 2026 and beat the same period last year despite the low season, with momentum continuing into the fourth quarter of 2026 as the high season begins. They also expect government stimulus measures such as the Rao Tiew Duay Kan or Kon La Khrueng schemes, which the Ministry of Tourism and Sports is expected to propose to the cabinet in time for the year-end high season. Analysts continue to recommend stock selection on a company-by-company basis, advising investors to buy CENTEL because its food business is not heavily affected while its hotel business still shows improving RevPAR, supporting investment opportunities through 2027, and also recommend buying ERW and MINT.
Brokers see Q3 profit growth led by KCE, SCGP, AOT on exports and tourism recovery
Bualuang Securities and Krungsri Securities expect third-quarter 2026 net profit of listed companies to expand from the same period last year. KCE is projected to see printed circuit board delivery volumes rise, with average selling prices up 9 to 10 percent, lifting PCB revenue by 17 to 19 percent. CBG expects domestic energy drink sales to grow 10 percent and sales in Myanmar to jump 70 percent. ITC forecasts July to August sales up 10 percent from a year earlier and 7 percent from the previous quarter. In the hospital group, BH and BDMS expect July revenue to return to growth on Thai and Middle Eastern patients. The tourism and airport group, AOT and CENTEL, continues to show solid momentum, with July revenue per available room up 26 percent for AWC, 8 percent for CENTEL, 5 percent for ERW, and 4 percent for MINT. GPSC is supported by a full quarter of profit recognition from the GHECO-One and Glow IPP power plants. Krungsri Securities assesses that the electronic components group, led by KCE and HANA, is growing strongly both year on year and quarter on quarter. SCGP is expected to see profit recover on higher selling prices, strong sales volumes, and benefits from supply chain disruptions.
Bualuang Securities sees hotel stocks recovering on a value-led basis, with earnings stronger than tourist arrivals
Bualuang Securities said second-quarter 2026 results for the tourism sector were stronger than the soft tourist arrival numbers suggested, with combined core profit rising 3% year on year to 7.76 billion baht and mostly beating expectations. For the third quarter of 2026, it expects combined core profit to still grow 3% year on year. Although the headline figure looks modest because of the large profit bases at Airports of Thailand and Minor International, which are expected to grow only 4% and 1% year on year respectively, the recovery in hotel stocks is clearer. It expects The Erawan Group to rise 28% year on year, while Asset World Corp and Central Plaza Hotel are each expected to rise 10% year on year. Leading indicators in the third quarter so far support that picture. July revenue per available room rose 26% year on year for Asset World Corp, 8% for Central Plaza Hotel, about 5% for The Erawan Group and 4% for Minor International. Asset World Corp also has booked room revenue for the second half of 2026 that is 30% higher than a year earlier, while The Erawan Group's August bookings improved from the previous month. Overseas, Maldives tourist arrivals swung from a 2% year-on-year decline in July to an 11% year-on-year increase in August, which is positive for Central Plaza Hotel, while the recovery is spreading more broadly across Northeast Asia and long-haul markets. Bualuang Securities maintained its 2026 foreign tourist arrival forecast at 31.9 million, down 3.3% year on year, after the first half of 2026 came in at 16.2 million, down 3.2% year on year. That means the second half of 2026 would need to fall about 3.3% year on year, which is still in line with the forecast. If second-half 2026 arrivals are flat year on year, there is a chance the full-year figure could be revised up to about 32.4 million, down 1.6% year on year. It kept its 2027 forecast at 34.0 million, up 6.6% year on year. The key point is that this recovery is more value-led than volume-led. Average spending per tourist rose 7% year on year in the first quarter of 2026 and 15% year on year in the second quarter of 2026 to 52,918 baht per person, helped by longer stays and a higher share of higher-spending long-haul tourists. That means tourism revenue and hotel profits have a chance to recover faster than tourist numbers alone would suggest. Bualuang Securities maintained an overweight rating on the tourism sector and selected Asset World Corp, Central Plaza Hotel and The Erawan Group, in that order. Asset World Corp stands out for its MICE booking momentum and asset injections into a REIT to recycle capital. Central Plaza Hotel is supported simultaneously by renovated Thai hotels, Maldives and Dubai hotels gradually raising occupancy, and improving food business margins. The Erawan Group is a recovery play on revenue per available room and HOP INN expansion, with potential upside from a future business separation. Airports of Thailand is not among the report's three top picks, but it has the most pronounced earnings inflection point, with 2027 core profit expected to grow 59% year on year from the full-year recognition of the passenger service charge.
OR confident of Q3 recovery after Q2 trough, pushing EV to 10% of Mobility portfolio
PTT Oil and Retail Business Public Company Limited, or OR, expects third-quarter 2026 earnings to recover to normal levels after the second quarter marked the year's low point due to volatile oil prices. This caused a stock loss of about 8 to 9 billion baht and a net realizable value reserve of around 2 to 2.3 billion baht, totaling approximately 11 billion baht. Inventory levels that had been 2 to 3 days above normal have now returned to normal. The company plans to adjust its business portfolio over the next 5 to 6 years, targeting electric vehicle business at 10 percent of its Mobility portfolio. It is also accelerating expansion of its Lifestyle business by partnering with Minor International to grow four food brands, with a short-term target of 150 branches, and expects long-term EBITDA margin of no less than 15 percent. OR has also opened its first Cafe Amazon branch in Bangladesh, with an initial target of 100 outlets. As for receivables from the Oil Fuel Fund, at the end of June 2026 they stood at 14 to 16 billion baht, with the fund having already gradually repaid 7 to 8 billion baht.
OR.BK · Capital · Positive OR expects Q3 recovery after Q2 trough due to volatile oil prices, with inventory normalized and plans to grow EV and Lifestyle businesses.
MINT.BK · Demand · Positive OR partners with Minor International to expand four food brands, targeting 150 branches, boosting Minor's food business growth.
Asia Plus Securities says hotel stocks strong in 3Q69, led by CENTEL RevPAR +15%
Asia Plus Securities assesses that forward indicators for the hotel sector in the third quarter of 2069 remain strong compared with a year earlier, with Central Plaza Hotel having on-the-book revenue per available room up 15 percent, followed by The Erawan Group targeting revenue growth of 7 percent, and Minor International's on-the-book European hotel revenue per available room up 4 percent, with Thailand up 10 percent. July revenue per available room supports this trend, with Central Plaza Hotel Group up 13 percent and Thailand up 18 percent, The Erawan Group up 5 percent and its economy-to-luxury segment up 8 percent, with luxury up 15 percent, and Minor International's Europe up 4 percent and Thailand up 14 to 16 percent. Airports of Thailand's international passengers during the first 15 days of August were still up 2.5 percent year on year, compared with a decline of 1.7 percent year on year in July, reflecting resilient travel amid the war situation. Meanwhile, the average weekly jet fuel price for the week ending 14 August was around 159 US dollars per barrel, below the peak of 209 US dollars per barrel in April, helping ease pressure on travel costs. The research team selects stocks with company-specific support factors and laggard prices relative to the SET index, namely Central Plaza Hotel and Airports of Thailand, while Thai Airways is viewed as tactical on the assumption of lower jet fuel prices. It notes that if Brent crude exceeds 100 US dollars per barrel for several consecutive days, that would be a tactical trigger to consider reducing weightings in tourism-related stocks to limit risk.
KGI Securities expects OR profit to recover in Q3, advancing Minor Food partnership
KGI Securities (Thailand) expects OR's operating performance to recover quarter on quarter in the third quarter of 2026, because oil marketing margins and oil sales volumes are both expected to increase. Oil marketing margins are expected to rise quarter on quarter because the company's oil business is unlikely to book another large net realisable value inventory loss of 10.6 billion baht as it did in the second quarter of 2026, and oil sales volumes are expected to recover quarter on quarter as domestic fuel consumption returns to normal after falling sharply in April. OR is forming a partnership with Minor Food to transform PTT-branded service stations into food and lifestyle destinations by expanding its food and beverage business. OR will receive the right to open franchise branches of four leading restaurant brands: Dairy Queen, The Pizza Company, The Steak & More, and Chiho Ramen, a new exclusive brand developed jointly by the two companies. The launch is scheduled to begin this year, with total investment expected to be about 400 million baht and a target of 150 outlets by 2030, which will help increase customer traffic and strengthen OR's non-oil business ecosystem. OR has neither confirmed nor denied interest in the KFC business, which has been reported as being up for sale. Management said the company still needs to weigh the pros and cons of buying KFC compared with its current business model, under which about 300 to 400 KFC outlets operate inside PTT-branded service stations and OR earns rental income from them, but the company has not disclosed details about the deal. KGI Securities maintains a hold rating on OR with a first-half 2027 target price of 12.00 baht, based on a price-to-earnings ratio of 14.5 times. Although third-quarter 2026 earnings are expected to improve quarter on quarter, the brokerage remains concerned about the company's operations in Cambodia and its strategic direction following the conflict between Thailand and Cambodia.
Bualuang highlights JMT, MINT, BAM, KCE, MTC after analyst meetings
Bualuang Securities released analysis on JMT, MINT, BAM, KCE and MTC following analyst meetings. JMT expects cash collections in the third quarter of 2026 to recover both year on year and quarter on quarter after seeing improvement since May, supported by collections from new debt purchased in the first quarter. The research team therefore recommends buying MINT, maintaining its profit growth target of 15 to 20 percent per year during 2026 to 2028 and net debt to equity of 0.75 to 0.85 times, while keeping plans for a food IPO and asset sales. BAM still targets 2026 net profit of 2 billion baht, up 10 percent year on year, but the research team sees the slow economic recovery pressuring that target and recommends sell. KCE expects third quarter 2026 revenue to grow 13 to 15 percent quarter on quarter with a gross margin of 25 percent, with a chance for 2027 profit to exceed 2 billion baht and the share price to break above 50 baht. MTC has cut this year's loan growth target to 8 to 10 percent year on year from 10 to 15 percent previously because of stricter lending after the Middle East conflict, but the research team still recommends buy and expects third quarter 2026 net profit to reach a new high.
JMT.BK · Demand · Positive JMT expects cash collections to recover in Q3 2026, supported by new debt purchased in Q1, improving outlook.
KCE.BK · Demand · Positive KCE expects Q3 2026 revenue growth of 13-15% QoQ with 25% gross margin, and potential 2027 profit above 2 billion baht.
BAM.BK · Demand · Negative Slow economic recovery pressures BAM's 2026 net profit target of 2 billion baht, leading to a sell recommendation.
MINT.BK · Capital · Positive Bualuang recommends buying MINT, maintaining profit growth target of 15-20% annually and plans for food IPO and asset sales.

MINT spends 1.65 billion baht to buy 100% of Bonchon, becoming the brand owner
Minor International, or MINT, announced the acquisition of a 100% stake in Bonchon International for a net transaction value of 50 million US dollars, or approximately 1.65 billion baht, through its subsidiary MFG International Holding in Singapore. The deal is expected to be completed by August 2026 and will be financed with debt. As a result, MINT becomes the owner of the intellectual property of the Bonchon fried chicken brand outside the Americas and can directly collect royalty income and franchise fees worldwide, except in the Americas. Bonchon currently has around 500 locations outside the Americas in Thailand, Cambodia, Vietnam, and the Philippines. Bualuang Securities estimates that this deal is an asset-light model that will immediately add around 100 million baht per year to MINT's net profit, or about 1% of 2027 profit, with further upside from expanding to 700 to 1,000 locations in the medium to long term. Previously, MINT invested 70% in Spoonful in 2020 to become the sole franchise operator of Bonchon in Thailand. This acquisition therefore elevates MINT from master franchisee to a full global brand owner.
Minor Food teams up with SPE to acquire Bonchon, strengthening global franchise portfolio
Minor Food, a subsidiary of MINT, together with Serruya Private Equity, has signed an agreement to acquire Bonchon International, a global Korean food franchise brand, from the existing shareholders VIG Partners and Mr. Seo & Family. The transaction is expected to be immediately earnings-accretive for Minor Food, thanks to a business model focused on royalty fees and low capital investment, aligning with the company's asset-light strategy. Bonchon has approximately 500 restaurants across nine key markets outside South Korea and is known for its double-fried chicken with signature sauces. Minor Food, which already holds the master franchise rights in Thailand, will become the owner of the Bonchon brand and business worldwide outside the Americas, while SPE will oversee the business in the Americas. The two parties have a business relationship spanning over 30 years and are ready to drive new store expansion in existing and new markets, as well as leverage Bonchon's sauce manufacturing facility to generate strong long-term revenue and profit.

Land and Houses Securities says Q2 retail stocks slow, recommends accumulating tourism and finance sectors
Land and Houses Securities assesses that the retail sector faces short-term challenges, with CPAXT's second-quarter profit falling 18 percent year-on-year despite higher total revenue, as selling and administrative expenses rose from accelerated branch expansion and Lotus's same-store sales declined nearly 4 percent due to indirect impacts from the Thai Helps Thai Plus scheme. Analysts expect the retail and wholesale sector to recover in the fourth quarter, which is the high season, and may get support from short-term stimulus measures such as increasing the state welfare card limit, which will benefit TNP. BJC is expected to see profit recovery in the second half, supported by its packaging business. Meanwhile, the tourism sector is viewed as the most attractive for long-term investment, as the government prepares concrete tourism stimulus measures in the fourth quarter, with recommended stocks including ERW, CENTEL, and MINT. The finance sector is a laggard with earnings poised to surge, with SAWAD expected to post quarter-on-quarter growth in the second quarter and stand out in the second half, while MTC is worth accumulating as its price has not risen much.
